2024 Workshop Theme
Fluidity and Fixity in BorderlandsThe theme of Linguistic Landscape 15 is focused on fluidity and fixity in borderlands. We conceive of 'borderlands' broadly, to include both physical and imagined spaces, as well as both empirical and theoretical conceptualisations. This year's conference features papers that investigate the linguistic landscapes of borderlands, including (and going beyond) the themes listed below:
In addition to the conference, we are hosting the first New Zealand Linguistic Landscape Winter School, featuring a guided walking tour and ideas for pedagogical application.
